The Red Zone
Course Description: Gunfights do not occur in a place where there is only you and the badguy. There will always be more people you don’t want to shoot than ones you do. In this class we will be exploring some topics often overlooked in most training courses. The focus will be the “3D” environment including multiple shoot and no-shoot targets at different distances and heights, ballistics, anatomy, contact shooting, close range tactics, muzzle strikes as well as other topics will be addressed. We will focus extensively on being aware of where our rounds will go in the event we shoot through the badguy or worse we miss the bad guy.
This is not a beginner level class. Students need to have a grasp of the basic pistol handling skills, (loading/unloading, drawstroke and malfunction clearing) and be looking to add to their fighting ability.
Your Instructor: Dave Bigger (Biggers Consulting) was an Infantry officer where he served in Mechanized and Airborne units.
