The Red Zone

1 Day

Details:

Course Description: Gunfights do not occur in a place where there is only you and the badguy. There will always be more people you don’t want to shoot than ones you do. In this class we will be exploring some topics often overlooked in most training courses. The focus will be the “3D” environment including multiple shoot and no-shoot targets at different distances and heights, ballistics, anatomy, contact shooting, close range tactics, muzzle strikes as well as other topics will be addressed. We will focus extensively on being aware of where our rounds will go in the event we shoot through the badguy or worse we miss the bad guy.

This is not a beginner level class. Students need to have a grasp of the basic pistol handling skills, (loading/unloading, drawstroke and malfunction clearing) and be looking to add to their fighting ability.

Your Instructor: Dave Bigger (Biggers Consulting) was an Infantry officer where he served in Mechanized and Airborne units. The last decade he has been entrenched in the firearms industry setting new standards in integrity and ingenuity. The last few years he has conducted numerous tactical training classes and demonstrations to a variety of law enforcement and military audiences.

Biggers is always a student and has trained at the SureFire Institute, the Gunsite Academy, Blackwater, the Texas Pistol Academy, Tactical Response, Paul Howe, Larry Vickers, Ken Hackthorn, Options for Personal Security, AVOPS-Advanced Vehicle Operations, Hornady Academy, TacPro Shooting Center and many more.

He is now broadening his civilian sector presence with “The Red Zone” which will give his students a new perspective of shooting and tactics. Tactical Response has been proud to have him as an adjunct instructor the last few years.
