John Scarbrough

John Scarbrough II joined active duty with the Marine Corps in 1996 until 2000. During that time he spent 3 ½ years with a sniper platoon and held such positions as Team Radio Operator, Assistant Team Leader, Team Leader and was the also Platoon Gear NCO. He joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 2000 and is currently an E-5 acting as a Platoon Sgt in a Sniper Platoon.
In March of 2003 his unit got activated in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was activated for 8 months. During that time he spent 4 months in Iraq as a Sniper Team Leader. He has also held positions as a Squad Leader of an Infantry Platoon from 2000-2001.
John joined Tactical Response In July of 2000.and is the primary Sniper Instructor. He is an avid pistol and rifle competitive shooter. John is currently working on his third contract doing PSD operations in Iraq.

Besides these courses John has also trained with Stuart Meyers, Steve Moses, Andy Stanford, Jim Crews, Tom Givens, Jeff Gonzales, Dave West, Norma Smith, and Allen Brosnan. He is an O/C, PPCT, Taser, and TN DOS Handgun Instructor and holds memberships in the NRA, LEAA, Marine Corps Scout Sniper Association, and American Sniper Association.
